In a bowl mix both the flours. Add salt, red chilly, black pepper, heeng and ajwain. Pour oil and mix with a light hand. Now add water and make into a dough. Do not over knead the dough. Do not knead a stiff dough. Heat oil in a kadai till medium hot.
Now place the dough in the chakli press and in quick round motion and make chaklis on an oiled surface. Carefully pick the chakli and deep fry till crisp.
Once u have mastered the chakli you can also directly shape the chakli in the kadai.
