Avocado and Chicken Kebabs

This home made chicken tikki gets a kiwi twist with the addition of  Hass Avocados. The subtle flavor of the kebab with the buttery notes of the avocado makes for a hassel free healthy snack.

Ingredients

Avocado (ripe and firm) - 1no
Chicken mince (leg) - 250 gms
Salt - to taste
Shahi jeera - 1/2 tsp
Ginger - a small piece
Garlic cloves - 4-5 nos
Green chilly (small) - 1 no
Processed cheese cubes - 2 no
Green coriander - 1 tbsp
Pepper powder - to taste
Olive oil - for shallow frying

Method

  • Run a sharp knife from the top of the avocado in a circular motion. Slightly twist the avocado and separate the halves. Remove the seed and discard it. Peel off the hard skin and cut the avocado into small dices.
  • Separately add all the ingredients except the avocados in a blender and blend to make a rough paste. Remove and mix in the avocado dices. Apply little oil on your palms and make into flat patties. Heat a griddle/tawa and cook the patties on both sides till brown. Remove and serve hot.
