Gajjar Halwa

Ingredients

Carrots grated (thick) - 4 cups
Sugar - 3/4th cup
Sugar - 3/4th cup
Desi Ghee - 1 tbsp
Milk - 1/2 cup
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
Pista chopped - 1 tbsp
Almonds chopped - 1 tbsp
Cashewnuts chopped - 1 tbsp
Khoya grated - 1/2 cup

Method

  • Add grated carrots to a pan.
  • Heat the pan and cook on medium hot till carrots start sweating.
  • Now add sugar and cook till all the moisture is evaporated.
  • Add desi ghee and stir.
  • Pour milk, sprinkle cardamom powder, pista, almonds, cashew nuts.
  • Mix and now add khoya and turn off the heat.
  • Stir so that khoya mixes nicely with the Carrots.
  • Serve hot.
