Honey Chilli Potato

Ingredients

    For Potato Fries
  • Potato large - 4 nos
  • Corn starch - ½ cup
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - for frying
    For slurry
  • Corn starch - 1 tbsp
  • Water - a dash
    In the Pan
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Ginger chopped - 1 tsp
  • Garlic chopped - 1 tsp
  • Onion chopped - 3 tbsp
  • Capsicum chopped - 3 tbsp
  • Tomato Ketchup - 1 cup
  • Chilli sauce - 1 tbsp
  • Soya sauce - 1 tbsp
  • Honey - 1 tbsp
  • Sesame seeds - 1tbsp

Method

  • Peel and cut the potato into fries. Blanch them in water.
  • Remove pat dry and apply corn starch with salt and pepper. Deep fry till crisp. Remove and keep aside.
  • In a pan heat oil add dry red chilly, ginger, garlic and onions. Sauce and add capsicum and toss. Add ketchup, chilly sauce, soya sauce, salt, and honey.
  • Toss again.add water and bring to boil. Now add cornstarch mixed with water to thicken the sauce. Place the potato in a bowl and drop the sauce on top of it. Garnish with sesame seeds add spring onions.
