How to blanch a tomato

  • Water
  • Ice water


  • Add water in a deep pan till the top and bring it to a boil. Put a criss cross slit on the bottom of the tomato. In boiling water add the tomatoes and let them be there for 30 seconds and remove them and immediately add them to iced water. After a minute peel of the skin from where we had given the slits. We have the blanched tomatoes ready.
