Plum Cake

Ingredients

Flour - 400gm
Raisin - 100gm
Candied orange - 100gm
Black current - 100gm
Glazed cherry - 100gm
Sugar - 300gm
Butter - 400gm
Eggs - 5no.
Mix spice powder - 5gm
Cocoa powder - 50gm
Rum - 150ml.

Method

  • Soak all dry fruits in rum with mixed spice powder over night.
  • Cream butter and sugar together gradually adding eggs into it forming a uniform batter.
  • Add cocoa powder,flour and soaked fruits.Pour the batter in lined moulds and bake in preheated oven at 170c for 45-50 min.
  • Remove allow to cool and then demould.
