Shahi Paneer

Ingredients

    For Curry
  • Tomatoes — 500gms
  • black cardamom - 2 no
  • Onion — 250gms
  • cinnamon stick (small) — 1 no
  • bayleaf - 1 no
  • garlic cloves — 8 nos
  • green cardamom — 4 nos
  • ginger chopped — 1 1/2 tbsp
  • cloves — 4 nos
  • Green chilly - 2 no
Cashewnuts - 3/4 cup
Butter - 2 tbsp
Chilly powder (kashmiri) - 1 tbsp
    In the pan
  • Butter - 2 tbsp
  • Green chilly slit - 1 no
  • Ginger chopped - 1 tsp
  • Paneer cubes - 1 1/2 cup
  • Red chilly powder (kashmiri) - a pinch
  • Curry - add the above pureed curry
  • Salt - to taste
  • Sugar - a large pinch
  • Kasoori methi Powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Cream - 1/2 cup

Method

  • For the curry mix all the ingredients and cook till the tomatoes get mashy. Blend them to make a fine puree and pass through a strainer. Now Heat a pan and add butter. Add ginger chopped and green chilly slit and sauce. Add paneer dices and kashmiri chilly powder. Add a dash of water so that chilly wont burn. Now add the curry along with salt, sugar, fenugreek powder and cook to a coating consistency. remove from fire and add then add cream. stir and serve hot.
