Baingan Ka Bharta
Ingredients
Baingan round, large (गोल बैंगन) – 1 no
Oil (तेल) – a dash
Onion, medium (प्याज़) – 2 nos
Tomato, medium (टमाटर) – 3 nos
Oil (तेल) – 4 tbsp
Cumin (जीरा) – 1 tsp
Ginger, chopped (अदरक) – 2 tsp
Green chilli, chopped (हरि मिर्च) – 2 nos
Salt (नमक) – to taste
Kashmiri chilli powder (कश्मीरी लाल मिर्च) – 1½ tsp
Garam masala (गर्म मसाला) – a pinch
Coriander, chopped (ताज़ा धनिया) – handful

Then, add salt and Kashmiri red chili powder, followed by diced tomatoes. Once the tomatoes start to release their juices, add the grilled brinjal dices. Cook everything on low flame with a lid on for 4-5 minutes. Finally, add garam masala and chopped coriander, mixing everything together. Your comforting homemade baingan bharta is ready to serve! |
