A sandwich without bread is a creative and healthy meal option that’s gaining popularity. Instead of bread, this sandwich uses Semolina (SUJI). It can also be made using fresh and crunchy lettuce leaves, cucumber slices, or sweet potato slices as the outer layer. The filling options are endless, including lean meats, hummus, avocado, cheese, and veggies. Not only is this type of sandwich gluten-free and low-carb, but it’s also a great way to add more nutrients to your diet. With its endless variety and healthy ingredients, a breadless sandwich is an excellent choice for those who want a lighter and healthier meal option.

Steps

1
Done

In a bowl add suji, sprinkle salt, and pour in the curd. Whisk it and slowly start
pouring water. Keep mixing to avoid any lumps. We need a thick but pouring batter-
like consistency.

2
Done

Heat a pan, pour oil, sprinkle heeng, and dry red chillies. Saute for a few seconds and
add urad dal, chana dal and chopped ginger and cook it for a few seconds. Add
mustard seeds and once they splutter add in the curry leaves and green chillies. Give it
a good toss and add this tempering to the batter. Add a handful of coriander and
baking soda. Give it a good mix.

3
Done

Heat a sandwich maker and drizzle some oil onto the inside of the sandwich maker.
Carefully scoop out some of the batters and pour it into the sandwich maker. Then add
slices of cheese to it. Cover the cheese with some batter, close the sandwich maker
, and cook for 5-7 mins or till the sandwich gets a good brown color from the outside.

4
Done

Remove and serve it hot.
